troubled Hearts

Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me.  John 14:1

As Jesus talked with His disciples,  He knew this night He would be betrayed and tomorrow He would be crucified.   He knew the confusion and sorrow the upcoming events would cause them.  Jesus loved His disciples and wanted to reassure them that no matter how things appeared they could trust in Him.  He knew the resurrection was coming.

The uncertainty of life can lead to worry and anxiety.  Jesus loves us and He does not want our hearts to be troubled.   I may not know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds tomorrow.  We can believe in the promises of God and find comfort.

We can believe in the words of Jesus and know the resurrection is coming!
