Do you know what God knows - DN

John 13:7

What I do thou knowest not now, but thou shall know hereafter.
In spite of poplar opinion, you, I and all others, do not know what God knows.
From time to time we must be reminded we are but finite creatures and God the infinite creator is doing a work. This work is,
A. According to his plan:
B. It's without our approval or council.
C. This work at times defies logic.
It just doesn't make sense.
D. It will be completed: The Sovereign never leaves anything undone. He's the alpha and omega.
E. In that day, with heart we will cry, hallelujah!!!!! Faith will have turn to sight.
So let him do his work. Wait, he is and will do his work. May our prayer be, Lord help me to
1. Submit to his work
2. Sing unto Him
3. Show others, there's no need to doubt him now!
The great author anonymous said,
I do not ask my cross to understand or
My way to see—
Better in darkness just to feel Your hand,
And follow Thee.

Fake news - AG

Fake News

Proverbs 25:14 Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift Is like clouds and wind without rain.

Be careful not to pretend to be what you are not. If you brag or boast about being able to do something you are unable to do, then you become a proverb. You can’t deliver. You are like clouds and wind that promise rain but do not carry it out.
We want to impress sometimes, and we say things that make us appear better than we are. Later, people find out the truth and do not respect us for the lie. Be careful to deliver what you promise.
Let the lips of another praise you and not your own. Do what you say. Be careful not to be the empty braggart.

When Jesus talks - DB

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it, and is safe. Prov. 18:10
Years ago, an investment company came up with a very successful marketing line: “When E. F. Hutton talks, people listen.” Every commercial involved a noise filled room which went quiet at the mention of E. F. Hutton. The idea being, if you wanted a safe investment you would listed to what E. F. Hutton had to say.
In this proverb, Solomon reminds us that the Lord is a strong tower with whom we can find refuge. If we listen to what the Lord has to say, we can find safety. I do not know if E. F. Hutton is still in business, but Jesus is. We need to listen to what He has to say.

Everyone needs Jesus - DB

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Rom. 3:23
Everyone needs Jesus. Everyone has sinned and come short of the glory of God. Sin separates us from God. The penalty of sin is death.
Everyone needs Jesus. He is the only way to be reconciled to God. Jesus paid the penalty for sin on the cross of Calvary. In Jesus we can have eternal life.

Giving - AG

Exodus 36:5 And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make.
In forty years of ministry, I have never had this problem, nor have I seen it in my entire life. God’s people were taking offerings to build the tabernacle. It was the place where God would meet with them. The people brought so much offering that Moses restrained them from bringing. They brought more than enough.
I have seen a small part of that at the church I pastor now. God’s people seem set on being givers. They have given to build their building. They have provided to send the gospel around the world. I am blessed to see what they do.
There is still much to do. We are by no means ready to say we have done enough or have given enough. There is so much yet to be done. So many missionaries are still needed to take the gospel around the world.
So many that need to be trained and sent that we will continue working till Jesus comes again.

Father's house - DB

I will arise and go to my father. Luke 15:18
The prodigal son had gone down a road that took him far from home. In his great distress, he remembered his father and arose and began his journey home.
If we are not careful, sin will take us down a road that leads us away from our Father’s house. Remember, arise and go to our Heavenly Father. He awaits our return with open arms.
We thank the Lord for saving Ian tonight. Please join us this week at Liberty Baptist Church off War Hill Road in Dawson County. Revival services are at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. On Friday night, Bethel Baptist Church's adult and youth choir will be singing and Brother Nathan Hester will bring the message.

Hope to see you there

FORGIVE - DN

Matthew 6:12
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
In studying the life of the Lord and prayer, it needs to be said, prayer and forgiveness go hand in hand.
It's been said, The Christian isn't just forgiven, they are forgiving!
CS Lewis stated, To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.
Two provoking thoughts I find in this simple passage before us.
1.If your forgiveness is based on the FATHER'S forgiveness, ( We must have his forgiveness ) and it's based on your forgiveness, how forgiven are you?
The second thought,
In the Bible we are often challenge to imitate Christ. He said Follow me, mimic me.
Could he mimic us, imitate us, in relation to our forgiveness. Can you pray, Father forgive like I forgive?
Life is too short to go through it refusing to forgive..junk that grudge, it ain't worth it!

Let the Lord do It - DN

Let the Lord do It
2Ch 16:8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
The benefits of relying on the Lord are numerous. The tragedy we face, is the failure on our part to rely.
Note if you would,
1) The Lord Showed you could Rely: 8
Size of the Battle does not matter:
Strength of the Battle does not matter.
2) The Lord searches for those to Rely: 9a
3) The Lord Scolds those who refuse to Rely. 9b ... Thou hast done foolishly
Get your eyes on the Lord, surrender your life to him. Let God have the wheel, let him do it, you will not regret it.

I was saved in 1971. I announced my call to preach in 1978. It wasn't until 1985 that I surrendered my life to the Lord, to rely on the Lord where I gave him my all. I Preached for or tried to preach 7 years before I quit relying on myself and started relying on Him.
Trust me, the Lord is searching for those that will let him do it.

2000 page -views

2000 page-views

Well, another mile stone or another mile post, 2000-page views for this blog. Seen by many people and in many countries around the world. I am so thankful for this deep in my heart.

I do want to be a witness for the LORD.  I am a bible teacher, preacher and soul winner. My job is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fulfill the Great commission and look for our Lord Jesus Christ to return.  I am promoting Salvation in Christ, service for Him, set apart living and looking for His glorious second coming.
So in light of this, I hope to continue to bring you sermons and messages that will help you the Bible preachers and teachers to go, glow, glean and get encouragement in and for your Christian Life.
I have to admit; the spirit is willing but the flesh (my body & mind is weak / slow) Please pray for us for strength and wisdom to share.
May God bless you!!
