Some believed

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.  Acts 28:24

One of the greatest evangelist in the New Testament was the Apostle Paul.  Acts records his extensive travels and faithful declaration of God’s Word.  In this passage, Paul has just spoken to a group in Rome who were unfamiliar with his travels and the message of the gospel.

Despite Paul’s best efforts to persuade his audience as to the truth of Jesus Christ, the Bible records that some believed and some did not.   Certainly, Paul wanted everyone to be saved.  But the fact some were not, did not discourage him from sharing with those who were.

As witnesses for Jesus, our responsibility is to be faithful.  It is the hearer’s responsibility to believe.
