Do something for Him

And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him. Matt: 9:9

Most of us like the familiar and the comfortable. Sometimes, we are challenged to leave our comfort zone and do something different. This was such a time for Matthew. The Bible records he was a man, just a man, with the same strengths and weaknesses we all have. He was a tax collector and a servant of Rome.

Jesus saw him and said to him, “Follow me.” A challenge to leave the comfortable. An invitation to become part of a great adventure. Matthew arose and followed Jesus and as a result his life was changed forever. Jesus ask each of us to follow Him.
