They will know it is God doing it

Ezekiel 37:28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
God has big plans for Israel. Israel is relatively powerless in the scope of world powers, but God will do big things with them. He will build His temple again, that seems impossible, but it will happen. When it happens, all will know it could only have been the Lord.
God has not thrown His people away. He is not through with the Jewish people. He is going to do great things.
Never doubt any of His promises in the Scriptures.

NOW no condemnation

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. Rom. 8:1
In Christ we are free from the guilt of sin and the penalty of death. But what does it mean to be in Christ? It means we have placed our faith and trust in Him.
Noah built an ark as God directed. He and his family went in the ark. As the judgment of God began to rain upon the earth those in the ark were safe. Those outside the ark perished. Jesus is our ark of safety.

With outstretched arms he invites us in.

Are you sure?

Jeremiah 30:22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
God’s people had walked away. They had worshipped false gods, idols. They did not love Him, and He was not happy with them. He promised that a day was coming when He would be their God once again. They would be His people. Your actions speak significantly to your faith. If you say, you have faith, and your actions say you do not then there is a problem.
He loves you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Just be sure that you are His. So many people have never really trusted, never really turned to God and yet they think that they are His people by default. No one is HIs by default. You will see your sin, turn from yourself to Him if you are to be His.
Are you sure of your salvation? Are you sure that you will go to Heaven when you die?

It is time to consider this very important reality.

a tree cut down can sprout

For there is hope of a tree if it be cut down that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. Job 14:7-9
Yesterday, Rev. Mark Bottoms used this passage as his text at Liberty. He reminded us there is hope in Christ and Christ alone. Even a tree cut down can sprout again. Through the scent of water it will bud and bring forth new life.
Though we be dead in trespasses and sins, there is hope we may live again. If we repent of our sins and turn to Christ in faith, we have the promise of a new life in Him. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we can live and live more abundantly both now and for eternity.
I saw this post and I remember we had a tree cut down last year, notice ALL the little spouts coming up all round that stump, I shouted in my soul, in Christ they may have cut the tree, but notice ALL the spouts popping up, well glory!!

Also, it's amazing how nature proves the bible and bible proves nature, just saying, it's real, it's real, it's real!!

Home made gods

Jeremiah 2:28 But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.
God’s people were in trouble. They needed help. When they call on God, He reminds them that they turned from Him. They chose to make gods for themselves. Every city and people made a god, and now they want the one and only true God to come to their rescue. He tells them to go to their gods. Why can’t they help them?
So often we push God to the dark corners, the deep recesses of our heart in the good times. We want to call on Him when we get in trouble we just do not want to be bothered by Him under normal circumstances.

These verses let you know what God thinks of that!

Rebelling against the Holy Spirit

Isaiah 63:10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: Therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
God’s people rebelled against and troubled the Holy Spirit. God became their enemy because they chose to be His. He fought against them because of their stubbornness.
You can resist the Holy Spirit to your destruction. You can choose not to trust God till He who loves you becomes your enemy. You do not want to do that. You want to love Him and enjoy His blessings.
Trust Him to save you today. Obey Him and His leadership in your life.

He is all you need and will work miracles for and through you!

a hope of better things

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb.11:1
As a Christian, we have a hope of better things: a glorified body, a home in heaven, and eternal life. Faith in Christ assures us our hope is real. Because He lives, we shall live also.
As a Christian, we have received things not seen: the forgiveness of our sins and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Faith in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ convinces us that our sins are taken away.

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift of God!

The earth covered with knowledge of God

Isaiah 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; Their young ones shall lie down together: And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, And the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.
There is a time coming in the not too distant future when things are going to change drastically here on the earth. Nature and animal’s basic instincts will change. The cow and bear will feed together. Their offspring will play together. The lion will eat straw like a cow. Babies will be able to play with snakes and not be harmed. Nature will be greatly changed.
The reason all this will happen is God is going to cover the earth with His knowledge. This time will be called the millennium. It will be a thousand year period of great blessing on the earth. Jesus Himself will rule and reign.
There are so many things in the Bible that God promised that haven’t happened yet. We are still waiting for them. These are some of those promises. Read your Bible understanding that it is the Word of God and right.
Read it and prepare to watch God fulfill all He has promised.

What is the big deal about people?

Isaiah 2:22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: For wherein is he to be accounted of?
Stop looking to men. What are men or women that you should look up to them so much? They are going to die. They are not eternal. God is eternal and trustworthy. Isaiah says you shouldn’t be looking to men so much. You shouldn’t look to men when you can look to God.
So today you can have friends. You can have people you love and respect, but in the final count, it is only God.
Look to Him. Believe in Him.

Trouble may bring you to Jesus

Trouble may bring you to Jesus
Isaiah 26:16 LORD, In trouble have they visited thee, They poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
People are so funny. They often will not seek God unless they are in trouble. They need to be at a breaking point. They need to be in a crisis in their lives.
Isaiah says that they came looking for God in their trouble. They prayed because God was disciplining them. God might be working in your life. You have wandered away from God. You are living in rebellion, and you know it. God might allow the circumstances of your life and the consequences of your sin overwhelm you. You just might need to hurt so you can get help. You might need to suffer to see your need for a Savior.
Unbeliever, the person that is not a follower of Christ, you might need to get to the end of your rope before you are willing to listen. You might refuse to pray until you get low enough.
So count the chastening a friend if it drives you to the Lord.

Eternal Life

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. John 6:68
Sometimes His message is hard to understand. His ways are higher than ours. His thoughts are not our thoughts. This was one of those times. Jesus had just delivered a hard message which many people rejected. As the crowds turned away, Jesus asked His disciples, “Will you go away also?”
As he often did, Peter answered for the twelve: “Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life.” While Peter may not have understood Christ’s message, he trusted Christ. Sometimes we may not understand the Lord’s plan, but we can trust Him.

For only in Christ can we find eternal life

Chicken and a gospel tract

I had a bit of a rough day yesterday trying to install the kitchen sink. It seemed as though the devil was on my back all day, because what should have taken me a couple of hours wound up taking all day long. I was very frustrated to say the least!
At the end of the day I went to Mrs. Winners in Stockbridge, GA to get some supper and I handed the teenage boy that was my cashier a Gospel tract. I encouraged him to read it and asked him if he was saved and he said that he was. I invited him to church and told him that I really wanted to see him in Heaven with me one day (I was not completely convinced with his answer of salvation - he seemed unsure). He got a big smile on his face and reached out to shake my hand, thanking me for "making his day". What he does not know is that I left the restaurant encouraged because the Lord used him to "make my day"!
I have had a great burden, especially recently, to personally lead someone to Jesus Christ and their salvation. Souls are dying and going to hell all around us and I desperately want to be used of God to change that! What about you?
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15). Will you go?
